Henkel Beauty Care holds leading market positions worldwide and its brand-name product business is continuously expanding. In this fastmoving sector, success depends on constant innovation and high-quality products.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join as the Head of Digital to drive the development of net sales, branded communities and brand equity, positioning Henkel Beauty Care at the forefront of digitalisation in the retail space.

The key challenges will include:

  • To be the digital evangelist within Henkel Beauty Care, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to accelerate the pace of digitalisation, up-skill the organisation and maximise synergies across eCommerce, eCommunity and eContent.

  • Lead the development, implementation and tracking of the e-Commerce strategy   - in alignment with the UK Sales Director and Global Sales.

  • To build and maintain partnerships with online retailers (pure play and multi-channel) to drive e-commerce business development and innovation  

  • Lead the development, implementation and tracking of strategies to build and maintain branded communities on relevant social media platforms - in alignment with the UK Marketing Director, SBU’s and local brand teams.

  • To lead the development, implementation and tracking of digital content strategy in alignment with the UK Marketing Director, Global Digital and local brand teams.

  • Build and maintain partnerships with external agencies and influencers to create relevant content and websites that are consistent with and augment global campaigns, in alignment with UK Marketing Director and Global Digital.

  • Develop and maintain a strong professional network among external thought leaders, digital teams in other Henkel countries and at HQ, then leverage this to both drive bespoke innovation and to up-skill the local team.


Who we are looking for

  • Degree educated, or equivalent, ideally within Business or Communications
  • High functional competency in e-commerce, community management, communications development and strategic marketing
  • Prior experience working in UK FMCG markets ideally in Beauty or Personal care
  • Strong leadership skills, gained from an eCommerce role, and a proven track record of success operating within a matrix organisation.
  • Experienced in Amazon business development tools, Google and Facebook analytics and social media listening tools
